ARTIST/STAGE&STUDIO EXPERIENCE 1994 - 1995 • Playing at Hilton hotel in Tokyo Bay as a member of “Twins Generation” band together with the renowned Romanian composer Virgil Popescu
1995 - 2000 • Touring Scandinavia as a member of “ Daniels” band
1998 - 2000 • Producing the album “In search of the roots” together with Danish producer Morten Stjernholm, which went on to become the most sold dance album in Greenland
2000 - present • Touring Norway as a pianobar entertainer doing over 100 gigs a year • Producing the first single “ Once in a lifetime” together with Danish producer Joakim Pedersen in Copenhagen, Denmark
2004 • Represents Norway at Golden Stag in Brasov, Romania • Shooting the first music video of the song “Once in a lifetime” in Stavanger, Norway
2005 • Competing in the Norwegian edition of Eurovision Songwriting Contest with the song “The better side of me” and qualifying in the final. • Starts the making of the first album in L.A. California, USA together with the acclaimed producer Preston Glass
2006 • Completing the making of the first album together with the renowned producer Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg at Livingroom studious in Oslo, Norway.
2007 - 2008 • Releasing the first single “Tomorrows Headlines” on Norwegian radios. It ends up on the 6th place on the Norwegian top. • Releasing the second single “Vagabond” on Norwegian radios. It ends up on the 2th place on the Norwegian top.
2008 • Releasing the third single “ Seven seconds” on Norwegian radios. It climbs to the 4th place on the Itunes selling chart. • Competing in the Norwegian edition of Eurovision Songwriting contest with the song “Seven seconds” written by Simone, one of the most famous female singers in Norway and a member of the known norwegian band Dsound. Simone appears also on other tracks on Ovi’s upcoming album. Ovi and Alexander Rybak (the winner of 2009 Eurovision contest) were the only finalists from the 3d semifinal qualifying round.
2009 • Releasing the album “ This gig almost got me killed “ • Completing the production of the new single “Calling you” together with producer Simen Eriksrud at Livingroom studios in Oslo, Norway. This is a featuring with the upcoming band Tabassco from Romania. • The cut “Small Talk” written by Ovi, from the first album ends up in the most seen soap opera in Brasil “Caminho Das Indias” The song also makes it in the main compilation of the movie soundtrack, along huge names as: Beyonce, The Kings Of Leon, Pink, just to name a few. • In September 2009 , Ovi attends the prestigious “Golden Stag” festival in Brasov, Romania for the second time around. This time he’s awarded with both 3 place (The Golden Stag Bronze Trophy) and the Popularity Prize.
